“It is never too late to turn on the light. Your ability to break an unhealthy habit or turn off an old tape doesn’t depend on how long it has been running; a shift in perspective doesn’t depend on how long you’ve held on to the old view. When you flip the switch, it doesn’t matter whether it’s been dark for ten minutes, ten years or ten decades. The light still illuminates the room and banishes the murkiness, letting you see the things you couldn’t see before. It’s never too late to take a moment to look.”

Greetings Friends and Yogis!
Summer is in full swing and it fills me with hope, wonder and a renewed sense of community. We can often times begin to disconnect during this time of year from our daily ritual of caring for ourselves and staying true to our practice. It is easy to get caught up in the busyness of summer- traveling, kids activities, laketime, family reunions…All of that is good stuff but we must make an effort to maintain balance within ourselves and with our loved ones. If we overdo it now we may end up feeling overwhelmed and out of balance moving into the fall. So pay attention to your day to day routine in the coming months. Make time for yoga, make time for meditation, make time for yourself and your own well-being. When we do the work on ourselves we slowly become more compassionate and present to all of the people in our lives.
Join us this month for a special therapeutic yoga course taught by the lovely Erika Briggs as well as our summer rooftop classes on select Friday mornings. Looking forward to seeing you soon!
